Our daughter is growing up.
She’s 17 and on this past Sunday she started her first job at a family owned Mexican food drive through place about a mile from our house. Tonight my wife and I went through the drive through where she’s working.
It was eerie hearing her voice come over the speaker. As we pulled around to pick up our order, we could see her moving smoothly to complete the order.
It’s “only” a minimum wage job, but I’m proud of her and how she’s handling herself.
I was also pleased that as she was filling out the employment paperwork, the only thing she asked of us was to get her passport. And, I smiled when she decided the easiest way to get the bank direct deposit form filled out was to take it to the bank….that’s exactly what I do…..
