Today was the typical busy Saturday. 7 cars got an oil change (ours, mom’s, mother in law’s), 1 car got new shock absorbers and the 4 cars with manual transmissions had their gear lube changed.
The oil changes don’t take too long as I have three oil drain pans. I just line things up and go at it assembly line style. A 5 gallon container of oil, plus one additional gallon takes care of them all.
Dinner was sourdough bread (still warm), a chicken on the rotisserie over the grill, sweet potatoes run through the french fry cutter and baked and green beans, Simple but filling and lots of left overs so we don’t need to cook so much during the week.
Dessert was a no baking needed cream cheese pie.
I take a 1/2 pound of room temperature cream cheese and beat it with an electric mixer until it’s kind of fluffy. I then add a 14 ounce (weight) can of sweetened condensed milk, 1/3 cup of lemon juice and 1/2 cup of sour cream and mix all that together. It all just fits into a 9 inch store bought pie crust and I put it into the freezer for about 15 minutes before serving. Cherries on top
